First the passive infrastructure: cabling, containment, racks, termination, testing and the documentation that proves it. Then the active layer: firewalls, switching, wireless, integration, commissioning and monitoring. Both are ours, both are in-house, and the handover between them is a checkpoint with a document behind it. Hospitality, corporate and campus projects, small and large, for over 25 years.

Passive network

End-to-end passive networking, delivered by our own team

Structured cabling, fibre, containment, racks and the paperwork that proves it — surveyed, designed, installed, terminated, tested, certified and documented. This is the half of a network nobody sees and everybody inherits.

A good deal of what gets sold as structured cabling is a materials list with a crew attached. Ours is delivered by specialists inside the organisation — the people who survey the site design the runs, pull them, terminate them, test them and sign them off.

That continuity is what makes the certificate at the end worth reading. One team holds the job from survey to handover, so nothing is lost in the gaps between a supplier, an installer and whoever is asked to test it afterwards.

Survey to handover, and after it

    Site survey and design

    We walk the building, measure the runs, mark rack and outlet positions and agree the topology against how the space is actually going to be used.

  2. 02

    Cable planning

    Routes, cable counts, containment sizing, riser and pathway design — worked out on paper before anything is ordered, because a route decided on site is a route decided badly.

  3. 03

    Material selection

    Category, grade and OEM chosen against the distance, the environment and the warranty you want to be holding in ten years.

  4. 04

    Cable laying

    Pulled to the plan through trays, raceways and conduits, with bend radius, fill and separation from power respected rather than argued about afterwards.

  5. 05

    Termination

    Patch panels, keystone jacks, information outlets and faceplates on the copper side; fibre spliced and terminated into LIU and ODF.

  6. 06

    Rack dressing

    Racks positioned and earthed, PDUs fitted, cable managers loaded, every cable dressed and labelled to a scheme the next engineer can follow.

  7. 07

    Testing

    Fluke testing on every copper link; OTDR traces and power-meter readings on every fibre. Not a sample — every link.

  8. 08

    Certification

    Results issued per link against the category standard, so the installation is proved rather than asserted.

  9. 09

    Documentation

    Cable maps, port schedules, labelling records and as-built drawings handed over as part of the job, not sold back as an extra.

    Maintenance

    Preventive maintenance, moves, adds and changes, and fault finding — with the documentation kept current as the estate changes.

Everything that runs on the cabling, configured and commissioned

Once the passive infrastructure is tested, documented and handed over, our Active Network Team takes it from certified links to a working, monitored, documented network — and keeps it running afterwards.

In-house team

A dedicated Active Network team

The passive team hands over certified links, cable maps and an as-built set. From that point the work is a different discipline — addressing, routing, policy, wireless, redundancy — and it is a different team: engineers who configure and run enterprise networks rather than build them physically.

The two work independently and meet at the handover. That separation is deliberate. It makes the handover a checkpoint against a document rather than a conversation, and it means nobody is marking their own work on the way through.

    We take the certified links, cable maps and as-built drawings from the passive team and verify what we have been given before a single device is racked.

    Firewalls, switches, controllers, access points and endpoints mounted, powered and patched to the approved design.

    Configuration

    Base configuration, addressing, VLANs, routing, services and policy applied against the design rather than improvised at the rack.

    Integration

    Cameras, phones, access control, servers, storage and the WAN brought together so the estate behaves as one network instead of several that share cabling.

    Testing

    Connectivity, routing, policy, failover, wireless coverage, PoE, VPN and application paths — each one proved, not assumed.

    Commissioning

    The network signed into service against the design, with the client present for the checks that decide whether it is accepted.

    Documentation

    Per-device records, topology, addressing and configuration backups handed over as part of the project.

    Monitoring

    Health, capacity and alerting brought online, so problems surface before users are the ones reporting them.
